]]> http://www.stampergirl.com/2012/04/i-want-a-vagabond/feed/ 0 It’s DigiDare time! http://www.stampergirl.com/2012/04/its-digidare-time/ http://www.stampergirl.com/2012/04/its-digidare-time/#comments Fri, 27 Apr 2012 11:32:03 +0000 stamprgrl http://www.stampergirl.com/?p=2650 This week was a bit challenging in terms of the size, 6×12 is not a size that I will usually do for digital.  I used to do TONS of 6×12 when I was a paper scrapper… it actually was one of my favorite sizes.  While doing the dare I totally forgot about the size requirement and created a 12×12 and right before uploading it remembered… duh!  I decided just to crop it to 6×12 and call it done… and… it didn’t work.  It looked like I cropped a 12×12 page into a 6×12 (which is exactly what I did, but with a few minor changes I was loving the 6×12 size all over again! My recommendation for you if you are not in love of 6×12 or if you are a bit scared of it, make a 12×12 crop it and then adjust.  To check out the rest of the dare go to: DigiDares.com

I did this page for MScrap’s designer Erica Zwart Designz.  I love her graphic style a lot, it’s just full of ACTION!  I have to give credit to my friend Trista, she was the one with the idea of adding one soccer ball after one of the squiggles… of course I thought “if ONE is good, THREE must be AWESOME”… the more mentality goes a long way. LOL!!!  This was also a speed scrap between Trista and I.  It was her time of giving instruction and I must say I loved every minute of it, even when she was talking JUST CRAZY stuff.  LOL!!!

This time around we wanted to do something different for the blog hop, we brainstormed for a couple of day and this idea came.  These Project Life journaling cards are so HOT right now, they can be anything or everything in your page. I must say that I am in love with everyone’s journaling cards, they are just gorgeous!!!  Wait until you have them all!  You should have come from Zotova’s blog, if you didn’t please go to the beginning of the hop @ the CatScrap’s blog so you don’t miss any of these cool little cards.

I used the following products from the amazing line up of our Catwalk! (they are all linked to the store, for easy access… LOL!!!)

NOTE: Wanted to mention that the “Labelled” Journaling cards come in blank AND in all those colors for EACH of the different label you see at the top.  You get a TON of these little guys, and they are perfect for using as templates.  I used the cream one and put one of Christine’s cardstock papers on top with a Color Burn blending for a cool effect in one of my cards.

I still love it, and I still haven’t decided who this card has to go to.  I have a few prospects… LOL!!!!

Welcome!  I am so excited to be part of this blog hop.  I met Elizabeth and her Tinytwinies a few years back and fell in love with her adorable images.  She and her images are as sweet as they come, so when she asked me if I wanted to participate of course I said YES! While most of you have been practicing and perfecting the skill of copics, I have been sharpening my digital skills.  This adorable card i done almost 100% digital.  The coloring and shading are 100% digital, no copic in sight!  I did used an EK Success Punch, that adorable polka dot ribbon and that little bling on her flower.

This digital image is Painting Eggs with Michu and Ratiny, I removed Ratiny because I wanted Michu to be center stage of this card. If you are not into digi-stamps but into clear stamps then check out all the wonderful stamps HERE.  Trust me it is hard to pick a favorite ones from all these super cute little fellows.

DIGI TIP #1: Use your BURN and DODGE tools to add shadows and highlights to your image.
DIGI TIP #2: Clip digital papers to your image instead of coloring using a brush, this gives you an amazing texture.
DIGI TIP #3: To create grass use the GRASS brush from Photoshop, it’s quick and easy!
