CWC #70 – What’s yellow, has polka dots and it’s not a card?

Hi everyone!  This week at CWC you have to make something that is NOT a card, it has to have yellow and polka dots.  Now, let’s just start by saying my polka dots are not traditional polka dots, but they make these cute little flowers, but just in case I picked a cut from the cricut that had some polka dots cut into and I doodle around them. As soon as the gals posted the challenge I knew I was going to make a bookmark.  Why?  Well, because I needed one, using my daughter’s bookmark didn’t seem right while reading a romance novel.  LOL!!!

CWC #69- Staying Warm…

This week’s hostesses for CWC #69 are: Heather and Linda.  The ladies decided on a “Stay Warm” theme… Here we finally need to stay warm the temps have dropped to single digits tonight.  Winter is FINALLY here… LOL!!! I made two cards for this week, I know a bit of an over achiever… LOL!!!

It was my niece’s birthday last week and I know how much she would have loved to have gotten some snow for xmas, so since that didn’t happen… we are sending her some…

I am not a big fan of these Sesame street or Disney cartridges because they are a pain to cut and put together, but I kind of like how it turned out… and yes, I think Elmo might be a bit color blind… check out that pattern combination he is wearing… OUCH…

The second card is apparently a portrait of my daughter… LOL! Check it out… LOL!!!!

CWC #68: Be inspired!

This week at Cooking with Cricut is all about inspiration!  This picture from justbesplendid.tumblr.com is ours for this week.  I was completely enamored of it.  It’s calming, beautiful and unique.  I remembered seeing this adorable nest with eggs in a cartridge and I knew that was the cut I HAD to use.

  • BIANCA: Hey, mommy what are you doing?
  • ME: I just made this cute birdie.
  • B: Cute “angry bird”, he is just like the one in your phone.
I had to laugh at her comment, because he kind of looks like the angry bird.  So to all those angry birds lovers here I give you the xmas cricut version.  LOL!!

CWC – Day 14 Holiday cards, gifts and tags. easy last minute ideas

Day 14 Holiday cards, gifts and tags. easy last minute ideas @ Cooking With Cricut & Paper Crafting World.  I did a search in my Gypsy and found this cute tag in my Birthday bash cartridge.  I really like it, but of course my cricut decided not to cut through the cardstock.  My fix for that was to distress it to my hearts content.  :)

Day 3 of the 25 days of Crafting Fun!

Hi everyone!  I am playing along w/ some of the gals from Cooking with Cricut and Paper Crafting World Challenges on the 25 days of Crafting Fun!  Day 3 is all about: Christmas Elf, Santa’s Helpers, Workshop.  I had to choose this day, because my little one is into her own Elf on a shelf, but hers is named CHINEY. She loves her Elf and I thought she might love this elf too.  The elf is resting in my daughter’s advent calendar. You can even see a bit of our TINY xmas tree w/ the 3 kings and our mantel w/ some of the xmas stockings.

Have fun and join us for a chance to some amazing prizes and remember there are daily freebie downloads.

I am using on of Melinda’s SVG cuts, this adorable little Elf (QT Patootie Girl Elves Cutting File Set). I  just love her braids!

CWC #59 — Fruits, Cornucopia – Harvest Time theme

This week we are having fun with Fruits, Cornucopia – Harvest Time theme @ Cooking With Cricut!  My card is pretty simple.  Yes, it is a tag shaped card.  I merged two tags and a little rectangle to make this cute tag shape card in my Gypsy.

Challenges:

CWC Wednesday!

Our little one is learning about the different seasons in pre-school.  She keeps asking about when does Fall/Autumn ends and when does Winter starts and stuff like that.  When I saw this week’s challenge at CWC (cookies, cookie monster, or clocks) I thought it was the perfect opportunity to address the seasons in a fun way for her.  I have this Sesame Street cartridge called “Seasons” that have the cutest banners ever!  I started w/ Autumn because that is our current one.  I hope she likes them as much as I do!

credits: Sesame Street Seasons cartridge from Cropstop.com, Cardstock from my stash. NOTE: he is cut at height of 14 inches which gives me a cookie monster of about 8 inches wide. I will never understand these measurements on the cricut.

FOR THE WINNER OF THE HOP!

Congratulation Patti!!!!
